Lead Teacher (Pre-K)

We are seeking Pre-K for All Program Teachers for the new school year.

Responsibility:

--developing and delivering age-appropriate lessons for students age 4 to 5

-- Plan and implement UPK program (in accordance with NYC DOE methodology);

-- Instruct UPK students in a professional manner and assess student’s progress periodically using DOE required assessment tools and report to the office by the checkpoints;

-- Attend all DOE/DOHMH meetings, professional development trainings and submit the certifications to the office as records.

-- Communicate and coordinate with the DOE coordinator and social workers (by phone, email, in person etc.);

-- Ensure the UPK class environment is in full compliance with the DOE requirements/stipulations;

-- Plan and host parent-teacher conferences and parent-engagement activities;

-- Assume monthly attendance report and submit to office

-- Training and supervise the teacher assistant maintaining the classroom well-organized and clean

Requirements:

--All Lead Teachers must have ONE of the following:

       

       1)   Teaching license or certificate valid for service in the early childhood grades as set forth by New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations. This includes Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2); (n-6); or (Pre-K-6) certification.

     2)  Teaching license or certificate for Students with Disabilities (Birth – Grade 2).

     3)  Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field and a written study plan approved by an accredited college or university for obtaining Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2) certification.

-- Caring, patient, passion in working with children.

-- Bilingual in Chinese/ Spanish is a plus

Lead Teacher (Toddler Class)

We are seeking Lead Teachers for 2~3 years old classroom

Responsibility:

-- Prepare children ready for Pre-K

-- Plan and implement UPK program (in accordance with DOHMH methodology);

-- Instruct UPK students in a professional manner and assess student’s progress periodically

-- Attend all professional development training and submit the certifications to the office as records.

-- Parent Communicate (by phone, email, in person etc.);

Teacher Assistant

We are seeking Teacher Assistants.

 

Responsibility:

-- Caring, patient, passion, love working with children 2-5 years

-- Supervises a class with the teacher

-- Assumes the responsibilities of the teacher during the absence of the teacher

-- Plans with the teacher and helps implement the daily lesson plans and classroom activities 

-- Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, nap time and bathroom activities

-- Maintains the professional attitude and work behavior

-- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops as determined by the Director

-- Assists in other capacities/schedule, as determined by the Director

-- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 35 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children. 
-- Maintain the classroom clean and organized

 

 

Requirements:

- Childcare classroom experience

- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain 

- DOI Fingerprinted preferred

- Bilingual in Chinese/ Spanish is a plus

Accountant

Responsibility

​​

-- Should have solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and understand how to apply those principles to ensure that the financials are prepared in a consistent manner

-- Ability to understand and stay current with all new Accounting/Finance/Payroll Related Legislation and Regulations

-- Should have solid working knowledge of financial management from daily operation to forecasting, budgeting of enterprise

-- Handling all aspects of the accounting function(s): cash Receipts and cash management, accounts receivable, credit and collections, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, etc

-- Filing and maintaining regulatory filings as well as electronic and paper records

-- Working with an outside CPA for the preparation of internal financial statements used for tax preparation purposes and reporting to the executive director and board of shareholders.

-- Communicating with school equipment and supplies vendor and handling bill paying and recording

-- Interpreting legal documents and prepare supportive financial documents including contracts, Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) for government-funded programs (3-K, Pre-K for all, ACS vouchers)

-- Working coordinately with DOE Operational Analysis, preparing, submitting, and amending budget and expenditure reports, compliance the vendor guidance and regulation of New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), as well as meeting and negotiating the contract with NYCDOE each school year.

-- Working coordinately with Administration for Child Services coordinators filing and maintaining records of requesting and receiving funding on monthly basis.

-- Communicating with vendors/ agencies (insurance company, school bus company, school equipment/supplies companies, field trip destination agencies, etc) to ensure all service and products are in compliance with NYCDOE financial requirements.

-- Other projects, as related and directed by ownership

Requirement:

-- MA/BA  in accounting with solid accounting knowledge and skills

--Strong work ethic and a quick learner

-- Strong communication/interpersonal skills

-- Ability to meet deadlines.

-- Excellent Computer skills,proficient using different AICs

-- Excellent written and oral communication skills, Chinese is a plus

-- Strong excel and analytical skills
